Applications for the Hajj 2024 will accept at the designated bank branches starting from Monday, according to a local news channel that quoted the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
Hajj 2024 Applications
The ministry declared that until December 12, applications for the government’s Hajj program will be accepted at 15 branches of specific banks around the nation.
Up to 197,201 Pakistanis anticipated to travel to Makkah in the upcoming year.
The pilgrimage costs have already reduced by Rs. 100,000 by the government.
Short Package
Furthermore, the caretaker government of Pakistan has introduced a short Hajj package for the first time in the country’s history.
Women will be able to travel on the holy path alone for the first time, breaking the custom of needing a male companion.
Moreover, it represents a forward-thinking change in how this religious duty is approached.
Private Companies Quota
Prior to this, Dr. Aneeq Ahmed, Pakistan’s Minister of Religious Affairs, stated that private pilgrimage operators hold half of the country’s Hajj quota.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will supervise these companies in order to ensure pilgrims’ safety.
The ministry will bear responsibility for any problems encountered by individuals completing the pilgrimage via private companies.
In keeping with the commitment to improve pilgrimage facilities, Dr. Aneeq Ahmed also mentioned the ongoing renovations being done at the Haji Camp Karachi building.
