Syed Amin-Ul-Haque, Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecom, has inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion in the Middle East’s largest technology event “GITEX Global 2022.” He visited the Pakistan pavilion around 4 p.m. Pakistan time and cut the Ribbon. Chairman P@sha Mr. M. Zohaib Khan was present at the time of the Ribbon cutting ceremony with the IT Minister.
The whole IT and tech fraternity from Pakistan is right now in the GITEX with a mission and hope to deliver the best and enlighten the name of our beloved country Pakistan.
Amin Ul Haque stated that “It is an immense feeling to be here in GITEX and saw lots of Pakistani companies which are exhibiting here. Seeing the TECH destiNATION PAKISTAN logo everywhere is a proud moment not only for me but for the whole Pakistani community living in the Gulf.”
Last year when I visited GITEX, unfortunately only 9 Pakistani companies were exhibiting but today at least 29 Pakistani companies are exhibiting which is one of the biggest achievements for this platform for us.
“The real proud moment is that on the main entrance Pakistan Pavilion is situated and everywhere made in Pakistan products are showcased.”
Pakistan’s IT Minister indicated that the country’s goal is to export billions of dollars in IT over the next three years.
According to the minister, Pakistan’s IT exports totaled $2.6 billion in the fiscal year 2021-2022, with a goal of $4 billion set for the fiscal year 2022-2023. He claimed that the IT Ministry is fully dedicated to meeting its three-year goal of expanding IT exports to $15 billion.
