The left-hander’s decision exemplifies a trend among cricketers who have chosen to relocate their playing base from Pakistan to US.

Saif Badar, Mohammad Mohsin, Hammad Azam, and Sami Aslam are among the players who have recently relocated to the US.

It is worth noting that Fawad last played for the national team during the two-match Test series against SL, which ended in a tie.

As a result, the middle-order batter was forced to miss the three-match Test series against England and the two-match Test series against NZ.

Wasim explained his exclusion from the team, saying, “He could not perform well in the previous three series, which is why we selected Saud Shakeel.”

Fawad played 19 Tests for Pakistan, scoring 1,011 runs at an average of 38.88 and a strike rate of 46.58, with five centuries and two half-centuries.
