Pakistan will shortly announce Eid ul Fitr 2023 vacations to help people schedule time spent with their families. These holidays are traditionally observed in Pakistan for three to four days, depending on the lunar calendar.

Every year, the government announces the dates of the festival holidays depending on the appearance of the Shawwal moon. The holidays are commemorated by Eid ul Fitr 2023, the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Businesses and offices are closed during the Eid holidays, and people visit their families, give gifts, and share meals.

Eid vacations across the country

In recent years, the Pakistani government has also declared extended Eid vacations for government personnel and educational institutions to allow citizens additional time to celebrate and enjoy the celebrations.

During the vacations, however, the private sector and vital services, such as hospitals and security agencies, may continue to work.

The exact dates of Eid holidays in Pakistan vary year to year depending on the location of the moon, although they normally fall in May or June.

Many people travel to their hometowns or go on holiday during this time to celebrate the holiday season with their families.

The cabinet section has begun operations. According to private television, the idea to give four to five holidays will be presented to the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad. The Prime Minister will finalize it the next week.

In the event of Eid on Saturday, April 22nd, holidays may be declared from the 20th to the 24th. Following formal approval from the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Division will release a notification.

On the other hand, on 11 April, the Islamia University Bahawalpur published a notification regarding the Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays 2023. On the occasion of it, the IUB has declared seven days of vacation.

From April 19th to April 25th, 2023, all campuses, teaching, and non-teaching employees will be off duty. Extended holidays are provided so that students and faculty can prepare for the festival.
