GITEX Africa, a GITEX Global spin-off event, will be held for the first time in Marrakech, Morocco, from May 31st to June 2nd, and will serve as a premier platform for tech titans, start-ups, investors, and academia to collaborate, foster innovation, and explore new opportunities.
DSO will be showcasing at its stand at GITEX Africa exclusive offerings and solutions to technology companies, entrepreneurs, and startups, such as business set-up facilitation, innovative smart city solutions, a conducive working environment, and access to a broad network of venture capitalists as well as a community of like-minded individuals.
DSO will include key infrastructure, such as: Dubai’s first integrated smart city – the 150,000 square metre “Dubai Digital Park”; the largest tech co-working space in the region – Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (DTEC); multi-use warehousing and manufacturing facilities – Light Industrial Units; Dubai’s leading University in STEM and business – Rochester Institute of Technology; and upcoming expansion projects in DSO.
Commenting on DSO’s participation at GITEX Africa, Daniel Patrick Callaghan, Senior Vice President – Marketing & Business Growth at DSO, said, “We are delighted to be part of GITEX Africa 2023 in Marrakech, which provides an unparalleled platform for collaboration, innovation, and exploration.
DIEZ seeks through Dubai Silicon Oasis to explore synergies and forge partnerships with key entities in Morocco, in line with the objective to double bilateral trade over the next seven years, as intended in the recent UAE-Morocco Joint Economic Committee session.”
Daniel added, “DIEZ is also committed through DSO to connecting investors with innovative startups and support promising young entrepreneurs, both locally and internationally.
Our participation at GITEX Africa is a testament to our commitment to empowering the tech ecosystem in Africa and beyond.
We openly welcome multinational as well as innovative African entrepreneurs and startups that are looking to expand their geographic footprint and enter the Middle East market.”
GITEX Africa 2023 will bring together over 900 exhibiting technology companies and start-ups, over 250 global investors, and 250 international speakers from more than 100 countries.
The event will highlight emerging technologies in fintech, e-commerce, cloud computing, IoT, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and cybersecurity, thereby contributing to the development of an African digital economy that is sustainable, inclusive, and tech-driven.
Dubai Silicon Oasis, as a hub for knowledge and innovation in the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040, will showcase its remarkable achievements and vibrant community of more than 90,000 residents and 22,000 innovative businesses, as well as the success stories of its business partners who chose DSO as their preferred destination to live, work, and play, through its participation in GITEX Africa.
