On Sunday, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) acknowledged that one coronavirus-related death had been reported in Sindh over the previous 24 hours.
According to information provided by the NIH, 106 additional Covid-19 cases have been recorded nationwide in the previous 24 hours. 21 patients were in critical condition, with a case positive ratio of 2.66%.

Up to 5,007 tests were carried out. In Lahore, 413 tests were performed, and 24 cases—or 5.81 percent of them—were verified.
In Islamabad, 179 tests were performed, and 10 cases—or 5.59 percent of them—were confirmed and reported.
In Karachi, 36 cases were found to be true out of 551 tests, or 6.53 percent.
Health Minister Stance on Covid-19 Cases
The government has expanded the role of Pakistan’s border and health agencies, according to Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel, to cope with any sub-variant of Covid-19.
The minister claimed that airports and all other points of entrance into the nation were monitored.
All airports will conduct quick tests and passenger screenings, he added.
He reassured everyone that everything was under control and urged them not to believe rumours.
He added 90 per cent of the country’s population already got the Covid-19 vaccine. “An efficient system with a proper management team is fully functional in the country to remain vigilant and is ready to make an emergency plan to deal with any sub-variant of Covid-19,” the minister added.
