MYTM is the first Islamic FinTech, having launched in 2018 to offer mass transit e-ticketing, branchless banking, microfinance (credit lead generation through an agent network), and financial services. Payment pull (e-POS), Visa / MasterCard (debit / credit card) acceptance, and a payment gateway have all just been launched by MYTM.
Moreover, by 2026, MYTM hopes to have built a network of 100,000 MYTM DUKAAN. On July 7, 2021, MYTM and NRSP (1st Islamic Microfinance Bank) inked an official Branchless Banking Agreement.
The recent rise of the worldwide mobile money business has aroused both interest and befuddlement in the field of micro finance, with over 160 live mobile financial services deployments totaling over 80 million registered clients across 72 countries.
Talking with TechX Pakistan, the COO of MYTM Jawad Mahmood shared his views regarding GITEX 2021 and their company also reached to the finals of GITEX Future Stars SuperNova Pitch competition. He stated, “The Feedback was fantastic, it was great. People are very much interested in our product what we are presenting this year.”
Furthermore, he also stated that, “Our motive is to provide easy access to finance for a common person in Pakistan. Our vision is to open MYTM shops near by the houses so people can easily apply for loan or any kind of financial transactions. We soon launched our payment gateway service and we will be launching next financial services in the first half of year 2022.”
He also stated that, “We are connected with Micro Islamic Finance bank and we are providing branchless banking service according to Islamic laws. Basically, MYTM is Pakistan’s first Islamic FinTech organization and all of the compliance done by the bank we are a just a face for the common person of Pakistan.”
