A Chinese technology company Chengdu Yihe Technology Co Ltd has signed an Intent of Cooperation IoC with the University of Sargodha and Pak Agro Fertilizer and Chemical Industries to expand collaboration in advanced drone technology research training and technology transfer in Pakistan.
Official Signing Ceremony
The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officials from the partner organizations including the Universitys Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor who welcomed the initiative and emphasized its importance for local innovation.
Establishment of Research and Training Center
Under this cooperation the Chinese firm will establish a Research and Training Center at the University of Sargodha aimed at boosting applied research skills development and technology transfer related to drone systems.
Drone Technology Manufacturing Facility
In addition to research and training the collaboration includes plans to set up a Drone Technology Manufacturing Facility in Sargodha with Pak Agro Fertilizer and Chemical Industries. This facility will focus on producing unmanned aerial vehicles unmanned ground vehicles and crop mechanization technologies for industrial and agricultural applications.
Strategic Importance and Impact
Officials said the initiative is expected to promote smart agriculture industrial innovation capacity building and commercialization contributing to rural development and sustainable economic growth in the region.
Strengthening Academic Industrial Cooperation
The agreement follows a recent University of Sargodha delegation visit to China where multiple partnerships were formed to strengthen academic industrial cooperation in technology and innovation especially in drone and related tech fields.
