Chery Master Pakistan Launches Locally Built Tiggo 7 PHEV

Chery Master Pakistan has rolled off the locally assembled Tiggo 7 PHEV, adding a third plug-in hybrid SUV to its domestic production lineup and further expanding its footprint in Pakistan’s growing new energy vehicle market.

The rollout, announced on June 25 in Karachi, means the company now locally assembles three PHEV SUVs — the Tiggo 7 PHEV, Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 9 PHEV — spanning the C, D and E-SUV segments respectively. The company describes this as one of the most extensive locally assembled plug-in hybrid SUV portfolios currently available in Pakistan.

Production Milestone and Delivery Timeline

The Tiggo 7 PHEV line-off follows the earlier rollout of the Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 9 PHEV, which were put into production within five days of each other. Chery Master Pakistan said customer deliveries for those models were completed ahead of committed timelines, and it aims to replicate that track record with the Tiggo 7 PHEV.

The company has also moved to double-shift operations and increased overall production capacity to accommodate deliveries for existing customers and new bookings placed during June across its full model range. The move comes as the Pakistani auto sector monitors potential policy and tax changes that could affect vehicle pricing in the near term.

Pricing and Availability

The Tiggo 7 PHEV carries an introductory ex-factory price of PKR 9,499,000, with a booking amount of PKR 1,500,000. Test drives and bookings are open at Chery dealerships across the country.

Specifications and Technology

The Tiggo 7 PHEV is powered by Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology, producing 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. The vehicle offers up to 90 km of pure electric driving range and a combined range of up to 1,200 km on a full tank and full charge, making it geared toward both urban commuters and long-distance travellers.

On the safety front, the SUV comes equipped with eight airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and carries a five-star safety rating.

Executive Comment

Samir Malik, CEO of Master Auto Engineering, said the milestone reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the Pakistani market. “The successful rollout of Tiggo 8 PHEV, Tiggo 9 PHEV and now Tiggo 7 PHEV reflects our ability to combine global technology, manufacturing quality and customer value with rapid execution,” he said. “We have increased production capacity and moved to double-shift operations to facilitate deliveries for existing customers as well as new bookings placed during June.”

Brand Background

Chery is China’s leading automotive exporter for 23 consecutive years, with a presence in more than 130 countries and regions and over 19 million users worldwide. In Pakistan, the brand operates through a partnership with Master Group, which brings over 40 years of automotive manufacturing experience to the venture.

The addition of the Tiggo 7 PHEV positions Chery Master Pakistan as one of the few automakers in the country offering multiple locally assembled electrified models simultaneously, at a time when consumer interest in fuel-efficient and alternative-energy vehicles continues to rise.
