Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) is getting ready to launch its first electric vehicle brand, Deepal, in Pakistan soon. They plan to introduce the S07 SUV and L07 Sedan models.
While not officially confirmed, a company official has hinted that an electric vehicle is on the way.
MCML’s Parent Company
Changan, MCML’s parent company, has launched three electric vehicle brands under the Vast Ocean Plan. These brands, Avatr, Deepal, and Nevo, cater to a variety of customers.
Deepal S07
The Deepal S07 is a midsize crossover SUV, while the Deepal L07 is a fastback sports sedan. Both models are scheduled to make their debut in Pakistan.
These electric vehicles have already been released in Thailand, where drivers drive on the right side of the road, as in Pakistan.
Even though there is a lot of room for growth in electric vehicles, there are some obstacles to overcome.
One challenge is classifying electric vehicles based on battery capacity, while another is setting fair charging station prices.
To address these issues, there have been suggestions to revise how electric vehicles are classified and to provide financing options to buyers.
Furthermore, increasing the margins for charging stations could help make electric vehicles more affordable.
MCML intends to include home chargers in all Changan electric vehicles and promote zero-carbon emissions by installing solar panels.
