The global work marketplace Upwork and CaterpillHERs have partnered to give women in the CaterpillHERs cohort access to coaching on Upwork Academy, an interactive learning hub that offers career advice, and upskilling opportunities, and other educational resources. CaterpillHERs is a Pakistan-based organization that supports women in starting and growing their businesses and careers.
Members of the CaterpillHERs career acceleration program will receive mentoring, tools, and resources for utilizing and succeeding on the Upwork platform as part of the agreement.
“The partnership between Upwork and CaterpillHERs will allow us to bridge the gender gap in the freelancing industry by providing women in our career accelerator with verified and vetted content on using the platform and also receiving hands-on coaching by the team at Upwork. Upwork’s support and coaching to women in our cohort have definitely been a game-changer for us,” remarked CaterpillHERs CEO and Founder Hira Saeed.
With 63 percent of the population under 25, Pakistan has a huge potential for growth in the freelance industry. The nation is ranked fourth globally for its growth in the freelancing industry.
By utilising their current skill sets and gaining new talents remotely, women may become the focus of this progress. Freelancing may be a job choice that changes a woman’s life due to the caregiving duties that women have in a place like Pakistan.
