Captain Bonuses of up to Rs. 150,000 are being reintroduced by Careem

Careem, the Super App for the Greater Middle East and Pakistan, has brought back the Captains bonuses in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, as part of its commitment to simplify and improve people’s lives in the region.

The effort was taken to give Captains additional incentives to work with the platform, in order to boost their profits and improve their economics. Captains’ earnings have taken a significant knock since the COVID-19 epidemic, as the country has experienced several lockdowns to avoid the infection.

With the country’s conditions improving, demand for the service has surged as well, offering the 800,000 registered Captains a chance to supplement their income while also increasing the network, making Careem the region’s largest ride-hailing company.

Captains will be able to earn up to 25% more money as a result of the new bonuses. With the introduction of the new bonuses, Captains can now earn up to PKR 150,000.

Starting with the ‘GO Category,’ these bonuses have been launched in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, with intentions to expand them across the country and to other automobile kinds.

Careem has always been on the cutting edge of efforts to improve the lives of its Captains. From partnering with groups to give knowledge on subsidized rates, discounted fuel and oil services, and ration packages during the lockdown, to supplying smog kits to help people fight the tough weather.

Careem also just announced that its commissions in the Bike category will be reduced from 25% to 15% to help riders increase their profits.

Among these initiatives, Careem honored Captains’ efforts to maintain high service quality by introducing the Sitara-e-Careem awards last year to honor their hard work and dedication to Customers and the Community at large.

These honors are granted to the top-performing Captains who went above and beyond to make customers’ lives easier. Careem currently has over 800,000 Captains enrolled on its platform and has invested over $100 million in Pakistan since its launch in 2016.

Careem is evolving into a Super App, offering a variety of opportunities as it expands its services from people to things and money, including meals, daily essential deliveries, peer-to-peer credit transfers, and mobile top-ups.
