Big power loss in the Khi 240 feeders being trip

Over 240 K-Electric (KE) feeders tripped after the port city got rain. Causing power disruptions in several sections of Karachi, according to report on Thursday.

Residents of Karachi finally experienced a break. From the extreme warmth on Thursday afternoon as showers of rain swept through the metropolis.

However, despite this, some areas in Karachi such as North Karachi, Shadman, UP, Orangi, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gadap, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal are facing power outages.

No Electricity in Different Areas

In a similar vein, there is no electricity in Surjani, Taiser Town, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Razzaqabad, Gizri, Baldia, Sher Shah, Kemari, Maripur, Old City Area, Jacob Lines, and Bizert Road.

Punjab Colony, Malir, Khokhra Par, Model Colony, Kazimabad, Kharadar.

Furthermore, Metroville, Site, Ahsanabad, Shah Faisal Colony, Korangi, and Landhi have also experienced power outages.

Power Outages

The rain has caused power outages at Hub River Road, Khoja Ajmer Nagri, Qayyumabad, Akhtar Colony, and Manzoor Colony.

No. of Feeders Tripped

Thirteen feeders in Surjani, twenty-five in Gulistan-e-Johar, and five in Gulshan have tripped, according to K-Electric.

The authorities are working to identify and address. The issues causing these feeders to trip in order to restore power ASAP.

Numerous regions of the city, including Malir, Gadap, North Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, North Karachi, Saddar, Super Highway, and the neighbouring districts, saw rain showers and thunderstorms.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had forecast thunderstorms along with rain showers for today and Friday.
