Beats new 'studio buds+' with great noise cancellation

Beats is getting ready to release a new version of its wireless Studio Buds. 9to5Mac discovered details about new “Beats Studio Buds Plus” earbuds and images revealing a black and gold finish in the latest iOS 16.4 beta released today. The design is largely similar to the original Beats Studio Buds, which were released in 2021.

Company Plan

According to sources familiar with the company’s plans, the upcoming earbuds will have more powerful active noise cancellation and a better transparency mode than the original Studio.

The Studio Buds Plus, like the first model, will not include an Apple audio chip like the H1. They will also not support automatic device switching between Apple devices.

If you want the Apple ecosystem features, you should get the more expensive Beats Fit Pro earbuds — or AirPods. The Studio Buds are intended to be platform agnostic, appealing to both iOS and Android customers.

Improvements

Some people find them more comfortable than the rest of the company’s buds. The originals did include some Apple extras, such as hands-free “Hey Siri” voice commands, which I expect the Plus buds to keep. The Beats Studio Buds Plus’s exact release date has yet to be determined.

Price

However, given that the product details are already present in iOS 16.4, they will most likely arrive in the not-too-distant future. The main question is whether (and by how much) the “Plus” label and improved ANC / transparency will raise the $149.99 price.

Apple intends to improve Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency on the Beats Studio Buds+, which will not be available to the public for some time.

The original Beats Studio Buds were released in 2021 as a cheaper alternative to the AirPods. The Beats Studio Buds cost $150, and the new model will most likely cost the same.
