The Balochistan government has made an important step towards improving the educational environment for females by directing the employment of only female staff in all girls’ educational institutions throughout the province.
This decision, spearheaded by the provincial education secretary, demonstrates the government’s unshakable commitment to promoting gender equality and providing a safe and conducive learning environment for female students.
Female-Only Staff Policy
The order, which has received broad support and praise, contains many critical components aimed at guaranteeing the successful implementation of the female-only staff policy in girls’ schools.
For starters, it requires the immediate transfer of all male staff members already serving in girls’ schools to alternate positions within the education system.
The government intends to develop a gender-balanced employment structure that better meets the demands and sensitivities of female students by reassigning male employees to other tasks.
Furthermore, the directive emphasises the hiring of qualified female employees to fill all open jobs in girls’ educational institutions.
Improves Women’s Career
This proactive strategy not only improves women’s career chances, but it also empowers female educators and role models to motivate and support the next generation of young girls.
To ensure a smooth transition, male staff members now stationed in girls’ schools have been directed to report to the director of education, who will oversee their transfer to appropriate posts in the education sector.
This guarantees that the transfer process is carried out efficiently and with least disturbance to school activities.
