Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistani men’s cricket team, has received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award from the federal government in honor of the nation’s 75th anniversary of independence.
The renowned Sitara-e-Imtiaz award, Pakistan’s third-highest civilian honor will be given to the 27-year-old cricketer, making him the nation’s youngest recipient.

On the other side, Bismah Maroof, the captain of the women’s squad, would be given Tamgah e Imtiaz. Masood Jan, a blind cricket player, will be presented with the Pride of Performance award.
On the occasion of the nation’s 75th Diamond Jubilee, Dr. Arif Alvi, Pakistan’s president, presented Pakistan’s civil honors to 253 people, including both foreigners and natives of Pakistan.
Awards were given to the people for their bravery and excellence in various disciplines. On March 23, 2023, Pakistan Day, there will be an investiture ceremony for these honors.
