When asked about his great achievement in a recent interview, the all-format captain exhibited selflessness, admitting that he has never concentrated on individual milestones.

The 28-year-old stated that his only emphasis has always been on performing well for the national team and winning games for the Men in Green.

“When you play with that goal, you achieve milestones along the way. The aim should always be to give performances. Records are byproducts of that mentality,” Babar said.

The Lahore-born batter stated that he has no desire to set records and that his main goal is to perform for the prosperity of his country.

Babar is currently leading the leaderboard for most runs scored in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, with 1,454 at an average of 76.52.

Earlier this month, the elegant hitter broke the record for most T20I centuries by a skipper while also becoming the man with the second-most T20 centuries.
