Today marked Asif Ali’s 50th international T20 game, making him a powerful hitter who excels in Twenty20 play.
In his 50th Twenty20 International, which will take place today against Bangladesh in the opening game of the tri-nation series in which Pakistan is taking part, Asif will continue to bat for Pakistan.

As of right now, Asif has played in 49 matches and scored 510 runs, for an average of 15.45 runs per game and a strike rate of 136.
Pakistan’s right-handed batter has played some game-winning innings in recent years, assisting the team in victories.
Pakistan’s national cricket team is led by Asif Ali, a professional cricketer from Pakistan. Asif plays for Northern in first-class cricket and for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League.
He similarly excels as a finisher in ODI cricket, but if Pakistan’s middle order fragility persists, he might have to move lower down the order because of his power hitting prowess, which is not ideal for the No. 6 spot.
The fact that he fills a very specific need for the team, and does so exceptionally well if the team’s first few months are any indication, is what matters most.
