The next Asia Cup 2023, which is slated to take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka in September, is likely to feature two matches between Pakistan and India.

The first group match is anticipated to occur on September 2, and if they make it to the Super 4, the neighbors would probably face off on September 10.

Additionally, it is said that Colombo or Kandy in Sri Lanka are likely to serve as the sites for the intense confrontations between the arch-rivals, though the final choice has not yet been made.

Asia Cup India and Pakistan Clash

The Men in Green will play their opening group game against Nepal in Multan on August 30 or 31 after the official opening ceremony before taking on India.

The suggested schedule calls for Pakistan to leave for Sri Lanka after the opening match, with all other teams—except India—playing one match in Pakistan.

The future event will likely take place between August 31 and September 17 and will use a hybrid format that was suggested by Najam Sethi, the previous chairman of the PCB.

In accordance with the suggested hybrid format, Sri Lanka will host the remaining matches of the competition while Pakistan would host the first four games of the event.
