Apple is likely to introduce a hybrid folding gadget that will be somewhere between a laptop and a tablet.

Apple-Related Leaking

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, noted for his Apple-related leaking, has now revealed details on the company’s future foldable tablet.

2 Hybrid Foldable Gadgets

According to Kuo, Apple is developing two hybrid foldable gadgets, which are expected to be released in the first half of 2026. As a result, we may not see any of these devices for a long time.

This is in line with recent rumours that the foldable tablet-like gadget may appear in late 2025 or early 2026.

Currently, two different shape elements are in development: 20.25″ and 18.8″.

Folded, their dimensions are predicted to reduce to 14-15 inches and 13-14 inches, accordingly.

To compete, these gadgets’ display panels will be crease-free, but this will increase their cost.

Apple’s Supply Chain

According to reports from Apple’s supply chain, these panels will be delivered by the popular display manufacturer LG.

The display panel will be combined with an expensive high-end frame supplied by Amphenol.

According to early estimations, the panel alone will cost $600-650, while the hinge will cost $200-250.

Both gadgets are likely to be powered by Apple’s own M5 processor. Ming-Chi Kuo provides an approximate figure of the overall cost.

If the early statistics are correct, Apple’s first foldable gadget will most likely cost around the same as the current Vision Pro, which starts at $3,499.

Nonetheless, sales volumes are likely to exceed those of the Vision Pro, potentially approaching 1 million units.
