The Apple Watch Ultra, a very resilient and ruggedized variation of the standard Apple Watch, was unveiled in September.
Apple demonstrated the Watch Ultra jumping into the water during its unveiling to highlight its impressive water resistance.
The Oceanic+ app for the wristwatch, which Apple is now releasing, will transform it into a diving computer.
The depth gauge and water temperature sensors on the Apple Watch Ultra are used to gather additional data while it is underwater up to 40 meters deep.
Oceanic+ will supplement that and provide divers with a wealth of useful data. It was developed in conjunction with Apple by Huish Outdoors.
Divers can also select compass directions, and it will estimate how long it should take them to reach the surface.
Before embarking on a dive, divers can also use a planner that takes tide, temperature, visibility, and currents into account.
Additionally, the watch faces that are supplied will display surface time, no-fly time, and other data.
The Taptic Engine and the large, vivid display of the Apple Watch Ultra will alert the diver to any important information during a dive.
Remember that in order to utilize Oceanic+, you must have WatchOS 9.1 and an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.1.
To completely unlock the app, you can spend $5 for a day, $10 for a month, or $80 for a year.
You can buy a family licence in addition to the free version for $130 a year.
Not to mention, the price of an Apple Watch Ultra, which is $799 at the time of writing, is comparable to that of several modern flagship phones.
