Apple has released the eighth beta of iOS 16 ahead

Apple has released the eighth iOS 16 beta ahead of the final release, which is expected shortly after Apple’s September 7 event.

Those who have signed up for the beta programme can check for it by going to the General > Software Update menu in the iPhone Settings app.

If you haven’t enrolled in the iOS 16 beta programme and can’t wait a few more weeks for the public release, you can find out how to do so here.

However, keep in mind that beta builds frequently contain bugs that degrade the user experience, so they should be avoided on primary devices.

The iOS 16 beta 8 – build number 20A5358a – includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and optimizations that bring it one step closer to the public release, so we recommend you wait for the final release, which isn’t far away.

Apple may begin rolling out iOS 16 with the September 7 release of the iPhone 14.

A new lock screen, notifications, and the ability to stream or edit a recently sent message are all included in iOS 16. The battery percentage was also added to the status bar in one of the iOS 16 betas. You can read more about it in our iOS 16 announcement coverage.
