Passenger dies aboard, forcing an emergency landing in Karachi

A Filipino woman allegedly passed away from a heart attack while aboard a Turkish Airlines flight, which led to an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

According to the information, Elena, a female passenger, experienced heart trouble on aircraft TK-084, which departed from Istanbul and was traveling to Manila, Philippines, and passed away mid-flight.

As a result, the pilot sent an emergency landing request to Jinnah Airport’s Air Traffic Control (ATC).

Three days previously, a passenger on another Turkish Airlines aircraft bound for Jakarta, Indonesia, made a disturbance in flight and bit a member of the cabin crew on the finger, forcing the plane to divert to Medan.

The manager of the Karachi airport had said that the captain had alerted the airport’s aviation authority of a mechanical issue with the plane’s engine. The passengers were taken to the transit lounge where they were served breakfast and beverages after he made an emergency landing, he claimed.
