According to the Global Smartwatch Model Tracker issued by Counterpoint Research, a business specialized in the technology, media, and telecom industries, Amazfit has surpassed Huawei as the world’s third-largest smartwatch maker in Q3 2021.
Global shipments of 9.9 million smartwatches were shipped in the third quarter, up 89 percent from Q3 2020. Amazfit today has a global market share of 5.8%. This follows a stunning performance in the first quarter of 2021, when International Data Corporation classified Amazfit as the world’s fourth-largest smartwatch seller by shipments for the first time.
In addition, the organisation has done exceptionally well in overseas markets. Amazfit has grown to become one of Europe’s most popular smart wearable brands, with sales increasing in Italy, Spain, and Germany. In comparison to 2020, shipments to Turkey surged by 324 percent this year.
New additions to its product line, such as the GTR 2e and GTS 2e to the best-selling Amazfit GTS 2 and GTR 2 Family, as well as the March debut of the T-Rex Pro, which had a significant market footprint, fueled the strong sales momentum.
Spartan, ESOK Rally in Turkey, the legendary All-Russian Zavidovo SUP Challenge, Israeli Beach Volleyball Championship, and Cruce Teques in Mexico all helped Amazfit boost its name.
However, Apple maintained its lead in the smartwatch industry with a 21.8 percent share in the third quarter, while Samsung moved up to second place with record-high sales of the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic, enabling the company boost its market share from 9.9% to 14.4%.
