Airport security offends Hajj Pilgrim in a shocking Incident

Pakistan’s aviation secretary is looking into something that happened at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. A security officer cut the hair of a woman who was going on a Hajj pilgrimage. This happened while she was being checked before her flight.

The aviation ministry said the Airport Security Force (ASF) stopped Ms. Seema Bano and her husband, Muhammad Shafi Ahmed, on June 1 for a search.

Even though she had permission from the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), an ASF officer thought something was wrong and decided to cut her hair.

“After checking her, she was allowed to get on the plane,” the ministry’s message on June 1 said. “So we need to look into this to find out what happened and who is to blame.”

The aviation secretary has put together a team called the Board of Inquiry (BoI). It has four members, and it’s led by Khurram Shehzad Warraich, who is a deputy secretary at the Ministry of Aviation.

Other members are M. Arsalan Khan from the Ministry of Aviation, Wing Cdre. (retd) Jamal from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, and Khalid Hussain from the ASF.

The inquiry will check and make sure the facts are true. It will also look at the way people are checked at airports.

The inquiry will find out if the ASF officials did what the rules say or if they did it without saying.

The Board of Inquiry will finish its report in two days of work. They will give the report to the secretary of aviation.
