During a video call, Microsoft Team’s new feature will allow users to hide their own video feed. This will assist the user stay focused on the call while still allowing other participants to see their footage.
The feature is listed as a work in progress on the official Microsoft 365 roadmap, although it does have a preliminary release date of January 2022. The video call feature will be available to all Microsoft Teams customers worldwide when it is released.
The upgrade is one of a series of changes released by Microsoft to improve the platform’s user experience by enhancing productivity and efficiency in this era of working from home.
Microsoft Teams just announced another update, which is currently in development. This new feature will allow users to mute notifications while on a video call, effectively eliminating annoying notifications or alerts while in the middle of an important meeting.
In a statement, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, “Over the past year, no area has undergone a more rapid transformation than the way we work. Employee expectations are changing, and we will need to define productivity much more broadly. All this needs to be done with flexibility in when, where, and how people work.”
