Visitors to the company’s stand in Hamburg, Germany, will be able to meet and interact with a cutting-edge cooking robot, which will provide a glimpse into the future of catering innovation.

The world’s first AI-powered robot capable of handling cooking operations in commercial and residential kitchens is featured in dnata’s culinary demonstration.

Moley Robotics created it, and it can replicate identical dishes at scale by following pre-recorded chef instructions.

It has multiple sensors and machine learning capabilities, allowing it to precisely measure ingredients and carry out complex cooking techniques.

The cutting-edge solution ensures consistent quality, high levels of safety, and real-time adaptation to changing parameters.

“We are excited to showcase a revolutionary cooking robot alongside our world-class culinary and retail offering at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo,” said Robin Padgett, CEO of dnata Catering & Retail.

“We are constantly looking for ways to further improve quality and efficiency by leveraging the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation, across our global network.

In recent years we have implemented a number of sophisticated solutions to optimise various aspects of our operations, ranging from consumption analysis to ingredient sourcing, inventory and waste management.

We will continue to closely monitor trends and further integrate AI into our operations to harness the power of innovation.

“We look forward to meeting and discussing the exciting future of our industry with our partners at our unique stand in Hamburg.”

dnata’s guests can also meet Bella, a hospitality robot who serves world-class meals and refreshments at WTCE, in addition to the cooking robot.

Bella’s twin bot, Kitty, already lives in the UAE and assists guests at Sharjah Airport’s (SHJ) lounge. dnata’s local joint venture, Alpha Flight Services, operates ‘The Lounge’ at SHJ.

The spacious dnata stand in Hamburg also includes a live cooking station, providing visitors with world-class culinary experiences.

Throughout WTCE, dnata’s senior executives and award-winning chefs from around the world will be on hand to engage with customers and partners.

The catering and retail division of dnata is one of the world’s leading providers of in-flight hospitality. The company’s 10,500 catering professionals serve full service, low-cost, and VIP carriers from more than 60 locations, producing over 110 million meals per year.

The World Travel Catering Expo (WTCE) is the premier global event for the travel catering, onboard retail, and passenger comfort industries. The event will be held in Hamburg, Germany, from June 6 to 8, 2023.
