Women Tech Quest 2022, a 10Pearls University initiative, is a platform for women to compete, network, and showcase their tech skills. On April 3, 2021, the 5th edition of WTQ was held online.
Over 700 women took part in the event, coming not only from different cities and towns in Pakistan, but also from all over the world, including the United States, Italy, Jordan, and Germany.
The 6th edition of Women Tech Quest will be held on March 12, 2022, in the offices of Women Tech Quest in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
WTQ, which debuted in 2017, is a competition aimed at inspiring women to pursue careers in technology. The ladies compete in hands-on Coding, Testing, and Design competitions, with the winners receiving exciting prizes and exposure.
There are also guest speaker sessions and panel discussions in which leading professional women share their experiences in order to help other women grow.
According to Zeeshan Aftab, Co-Founder, 10Pearls, “As a leading technology company, we want to create an ecosystem that enables women to demonstrate their creativity and expertise, network with influential professionals, and accelerate their careers. This edition of WTQ gave women across Pakistan an opportunity to compete, win prizes and learn from women excelling in the global tech landscape.”
The competition will be divided into three streams; the Coding competition will consist of a series of problems presented to the participants and will require them to solve them using any programming language of their choice.
The Testing Competition will present contestants with a set of objectives to test their database and automation concepts, whereas the Design Competition will require participants to solve a UI/UX challenge, with their approach to user research, persona building, and user flows being judged.
