The number of cellular subscribers climbed from 189.44 million at the end of December 2023 to 190.18 million at the end of January 2024, according to figures from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

NO. of 3G and 4G users

The number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan climbed from 127.68 million at the end of December to 128.79 million by the end of January.

The cellular teledensity rose from 78.93 percent at the end of December to 79.11 percent by the end of January. Total teledensity rose from 80 percent at the end of December to 80.2 percent by the end of January.

NGMS Said

Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration rose from 53.2% at the end of December to 53.57 percent at the end of January.

Jazz’s overall number of 3G users decreased from 3.492 million at the end of December to 3.388 million at the end of January. Jazz 4G users grew from 43.867 million at the end of December to 44.292 million at the end of January.

Zong 3G customers

Zong 3G customers fell from 2.217 million at the end of December to 2.162 million at the end of January, while 4G users rose from 34.202 million at the end of December to 34.660 million at the end of January.

Telenor 3G customers declined from 2.380 million by the end of December to 2.280 million by the end of January, however the number of Telenor 4G users climbed from 23.300 million by the end of December to 23.560 million by the end of January.

Users in end of January

By the end of January, the number of Ufone 3G users had risen to 2.190 million from 2.188 million in December. The number of Ufone 4G users climbed from 14.484 million at the end of December to 14.690 million by the end of January.
