Imran Khan, a former cricketing legend and prime minister, is confident that Babar Azam can beat Virat Kohli’s career statistics.
Khan told a local sports journalist that he hasn’t been watching much cricket recently but is confident that Azam can easily surpass the records of Indian stalwarts based on what he has seen.
“I haven’t been keeping up with current cricket, but I think Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are on par. It’s my opinion that Babar Azam is better than Virat Kohli, based on my observations of him playing.
Babar is the ideal captain
Khan added that he suggested him to be the team’s captain to former Pakistan Cricket Board head Ehsan Mani.
Khan’s assertion that he can outscore Virat Kohli is bold, but not baseless. The 28-year-old’s outstanding batting capacity, maturity, and work ethic give him a good shot at surpassing Kohli’s records.
